Yesterday I read an article on life coaches. The people interviewed were very positive about the benefits of having a life coach and on the clarity of purpose it gave them. I got a bit suspicious towards the end of the article, all of them had the same goal - to become life coaches.
The article’s emphasis was on “getting a life” which entailed attaining wealth and building a career. There was no mention of beauty, love, compassion, integrity, or humanity.
I guess most things are not valued as highly as wealth and status. I cannot see the value of “getting a life” based solely on the material.
